Strive has it's flaws (especially with Venom), but the game been an overall net positive for the Guilty Gear community. It pushed it into the mainstream and built an audience and fanbase for Guilty Gear that no one could have expected. It's possible if this game flopped Rev2 and BBCF would not have gotten rollback. While it's impossible to quantify the exact impact, I suspect the player base for games like +R, Rev2 and BBCF are healthier now than they would be if this game was a dud.
Strive is coming up to a crossroads. As recent events have demonstrated, the final version of a game doesn't just affect the current players - it affects future generations of players. Somewhere in the world today a child will be born who will never have a meaningful opportunity to throw in their two cents about the character balance in Strive.
Going forward, Mad Struggle has a simple request. Continue to support the FGC. Whether that's by teaching someone new to play a game, supporting content creators or traveling to locals or majors. Most importantly, support the community by making it a positive experience.
